Course Overview: This six (6) hour prep course is designed to familiarize candidates with the NYC Fire Department study material in preparation for the Fire and Life Safety Director Onsite Examination. The course provides candidates with a greater sense of knowledge and comprehension specific to the FDNY’s onsite exam. This prep course provides candidates an overview of what to expect during the onsite exam including visuals, presentations, discussions, including necessary time allocated for questions and answers (Q&A).

This combined course is for new Fire and Life Safety Director (FLSD) candidates who have yet to begin their FDNY certification (F-89). This comprehensive course encompasses 31 hours of instruction, including fire emergencies (20 hours), non-fire/EAP emergencies (11 hours), as well as additional time allotted for test taking purposes.
Important: Candidates must attend all eight (8) classes.
