With over two decades of dedicated service in the FDNY, Reggie Gibbs is a proven leader, emergency response expert, and committed public servant. From his early days as a firefighter in Brooklyn to serving as a Lieutenant in Queens, his career has been defined by a deep sense of duty, tactical expertise, and a passion for community safety.
As a Lieutenant, Gibbs led teams through high-stakes emergency situations, coordinated fireground operations, and ensured both public and firefighter safety. He took command when it mattered most — making split-second decisions, managing critical resources, and mentoring the next generation of firefighters. Beyond the frontlines, Gibbs also handled administrative responsibilities, training oversight, and compliance with safety protocols.
Before that, he proudly served as a Firefighter from 2004 to 2020.
Gibbs graduated from Kingsborough community College in Brooklyn.
