Orlando Rivera is an experienced professional and proven leader with more than a decade in the security and life safety field. Rivera has a demonstrated history in the hospitality industry, ranging from Security Supervisor, Assistant Director of Loss Prevention to Director of Security for several NYC hotels, achieving positive results. In these capacities, Rivera has designed, secured and supervised the installation of security equipment at several locations, in addition to designing and administering Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation Plans. Through his experience, Rivera has developed close working relationships with the Counterterrorism Department of the NYPD as well as ongoing contact with the FDNY. He has also served as a Fire and Life Safety Director (FLSD) at a prestigious NYC hi-rise building, ensuring his familiarity with FDNY code compliance requirements.
Rivera is a US Navy Veteran and holds an Associate Degree in Business Management from LaGuardia Community College (NY) as well as numerous certifications including, FLSD (Fire and Life Safety Director), CLSD (Certified Lodging Security Director), OSHA 30 and certification from the NYPD Law Enforcement Training Center.
