Michael Mandala has served as a proud member of the FDNY since 1995. As Battalion Chief, Mandala has supervised and coordinated tactical methodology utilized in the resolution of emergency situations while responsible for the direction of 150+ firefighters in a supervisory capacity of day-to-day firefighting operations, emergency management and rescue operations. In addition, Mandala is actively involved with the coordination of fire prevention inspections and integral scheduled department activities.
In his capacity as FDNY Foundation Initiative Instructor, Mandala facilitated student forums with students from universities such as Wharton at UPenn, Columbia and Penn State as well as CEO’s and CFO’s from various corporations.
Michael Mandala’s previous experience also includes time as a Police Officer with the NYPD. He is currently affiliated with the FDNY Columbia Association, FDNY Emerald Society and serves as a Youth Coach with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Mandala received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY).
