Michael Emmerich is an experienced fire observer and firefighter with a diverse background, providing a unique skillset and insight to Croker’s clients. As a fire observer for the New Jersey Forest Fire Service since 2019, Emmerich is assigned to multiple towers, and responsible for maintaining accurate logs for each tower station, which includes recording fire locations, radio and telephone messages and weather observations. He also assists in planning and running the day-to-day operation of the division.
Michael Emmerich also actively serves the Sussex County, New Jersey Sheriff’s Office as a Public Safety Telecommunicator and holds Dispatch Administration Certification. As a member of the Mobile Command Center Team, Emmerich is responsible for mobile command for natural disasters, county fair and other large community events, overseeing command operations, radio programming and communication logistics. Emmerich previously served as Chief of the Vernon Township Ambulance Squad where he managed daily operations, budgets and personnel and was a Cadet Adviser, organizing and supervising meetings and training for high school students.
