George Healy is a Deputy Chief and 20+ year veteran of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY). Throughout his tenure with the FDNY, Healy has served in many capacities, including Operations Section Chief of the Governor’s Island Burn Testing Project. George Healy has also been an instructor of the Battalion Chief Command Course, Technical Rescue School, Deputy Chief Development Course, and FDNY Chiefs Education Day.
Healy has served as a participating member of multiple NFPA committees. He has also taught at the Nassau County Fire Services Academy. Healy’s training includes various FEMA courses, including Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) enhanced operations as well as extensive New York State (NYS) rescue programs.
A graduate of St. John’s University, Healy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing.
